Role Overview
As our Enterprise AI Enablement Lead, you'll own how Mark43 adopts and gets value from AI internally. This isn't a compliance role or a research role. It's a builder and operator role: you'll identify where AI can meaningfully change how our teams work, prototype and deploy solutions, and drive adoption across the organization — so that the people building tools for first responders can do their best work.
You'll start as a team of one, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Finance and People Ops — and you'll grow the function as the work scales.
What You'll Own
Internal AI Strategy
- Define how Mark43 uses AI internally — what tools, what workflows, what's worth building versus buying
- Maintain a prioritized roadmap of internal AI opportunities across the org
- Act as the company's internal subject matter expert on AI capabilities, tools, and emerging patterns
Building & Prototyping
- Design and deploy agentic workflows and automation that meaningfully reduce manual work
- Build executive-facing dashboards and decision-support tools that drive accountability
- Prototype solutions quickly — validate what works before investing in scale
Enablement & Adoption
- Drive AI literacy and adoption across teams — training, documentation, hands-on support
- Partner with department leads to identify and prioritize high-value use cases
- Make it easy for employees to use AI well within appropriate guardrails
Governance & Responsible Use
- Work closely with the CISO and legal to ensure tools and workflows meet our security and compliance standards
- Define internal AI use guidelines that enable rather than restrict
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience, with meaningful time spent at the intersection of AI, data, and business operations

- Enough technical depth to prototype independently, with the strategic instinct to prioritize the right problems
- Strong cross-functional communicator — you can work with engineers and explain the "so what" to an executive in the same day
- Comfort operating as a team of one with high autonomy and low structure
- Experience in a regulated or mission-driven environment is a plus
