AI & Workflow Innovation Lead
Role Overview
The AI & Workflow Innovation Lead manages and executes Attivo Partners' internal AI strategy and implementation initiatives to accelerate AI-enabled service delivery across the firm. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end AI implementation experience—ensuring successful technical deployment, measurable operational impact, and the development of a repeatable, scalable AI enablement playbook for Attivo.
As the primary AI implementation lead, they will serve as the bridge between firm leadership, internal teams, technology platforms, and pilot clients—driving structured experimentation, ensuring data integrity and governance, and documenting best practices to support long-term service innovation and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
AI Implementation & Project Management
- Serve as the primary owner for implementing AI tools and workflow automation initiatives across Attivo from strategy through deployment
- Lead internal stakeholder meetings to assess operational pain points and prioritize AI use cases
- Develop and manage detailed AI implementation project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking
- Act as the first line of communication for AI-related questions, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
- Ensure clarity of scope, ownership, governance, and measurable outcomes across teams
Technical Implementation & System Execution
Generative AI & Knowledge System Development:
- Design and implement an internal AI-powered chat and knowledge interface
- Integrate internal documentation, playbooks, SOPs, and prior client deliverables into a searchable AI-enabled system
- Develop structured prompt libraries and templates for accounting, finance, and client-response workflows
- Continuously optimize response accuracy, usability, and speed
AI-Enabled Workflow Design & Automation:
- Identify high-friction accounting and finance processes suitable for AI augmentation
- Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows (e.g., onboarding support, close assistance, reconciliation review, technical research acceleration)
- Build repeatable automation templates for internal and client-facing use
- Ensure AI workflows integrate effectively with core systems (ERP, CRM, document management tools)
Data Integrity, Governance & Validation:
- Establish QA frameworks to validate AI-generated outputs and automated workflows
- Define AI governance standards, usage policies, and guardrails
- Monitor data security, confidentiality, and compliance considerations
Client Pilot & Go-To-Market (GTM) Collaboration
- Maintain a limited portfolio of anchor clients to pilot AI-enabled workflows in live delivery environments
- Measure time savings, quality improvements, and operational impact
- Identify scalable AI-enabled service opportunities for client offerings
- Partner with leadership and sales teams to assess technical feasibility and implementation scope for potential AI services
- Provide insights from pilot implementations to inform future packaging, pricing, and positioning
Documentation & Process Development
- Review AI platform documentation and training materials to ensure alignment with best practices
- Document weekly learnings, experimentation results, implementation challenges, and resolution strategies
- Develop Attivo's internal AI implementation playbook, including:
- AI opportunity identification framework
- Workflow automation standards
- Prompt engineering and template libraries
- QA and validation protocols
- Governance and risk guidelines
- Troubleshooting documentation
- Build scalable SOPs and training resources to enable broader team adoption
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish performance metrics for AI initiatives (response time, efficiency gains, error reduction, adoption rates)
- Develop dashboards or reporting mechanisms to track ROI and firm-wide impact
- Deliver regular updates to leadership on AI experimentation, results, and expansion opportunities
- Continuously refine workflows based on usage data and stakeholder feedback
Requirements
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance operations and modern accounting technology stacks
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical workflow applications
- Experience leading cross-functional technology or systems implementations
- High attention to detail with strong validation and quality control capabilities
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills with the ability to transform experimentation into scalable process
- Ability to manage ambiguity in an evolving AI landscape and proactively solve complex operational challenges
- Comfortable serving as a strategic and technical lead across internal and client-facing initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, consulting, or systems implementation
- Experience implementing workflow automation or AI-enabled tools preferred
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and automation platforms strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success managing full-cycle technology implementations from discovery through deployment
- Experience building SOPs, documentation frameworks, and scalable internal processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Location/Travel
- Remote – Pacific Time Zone (preferred)
- Ability to travel at least twice a year for All-Staff Retreats & Regional Meetups

Compensation
Salary Range: $145,000 - $185,000 (depending on experience), with a 12% bonus target
Position Status: Full-time, exempt
